1. SLIP INTO SOMETHING COMFY :
Cooking often requires long hours of sweating it out in the (kitchen) heat . Make sure to wear something light, which helps your body breathe!
2. APRON, PLEASE!
So now that you are in your fav lazy day outfit make sure to keep it safe for many more adventures to come. An apron is your best bet to protect it from that occasional oil spluttering out of the pan.
3. DE-CLUTTER:
Who doesn’t like to roll in a tidy workstation! Make sure to put all those dirty pans away in the sink and wipe your kitchen slabs squeaky clean.
4. PLAN THE MENU:
It’s always good to decide on the menu beforehand. You aren’t really a pro who can think of dishes at the drop of a hat, are you?
5. FEELIN’ ADVENTUROUS? GOOGLE IT!:
It’s always a wise idea to take a tip or two from the experts. Youtube is home to countless chefs and great home cooks who have nothing but words of wisdom and great hacks to share with you.
6. INGREDIENT CHECK:
Now that you have a menu sorted out and the recipes to go with it, it’s time to take stalk of the ingredients at hand. Make sure to take ‘em goodies out of the fridge and look through the kitchen cabinets for those hidden spices.
7. CHOP,CHOP,CHOP:
With the ingredients at hand the next best thing to do is organizing them-chopping, slicing, scooping-the works. Make sure to keep measuring spoons/ bowls handy and diligently follow the guru’s advice.
8. NEITHER-TOO-HIGH, NOR-TOO-LOW:
The gas can be kept at a medium flame at all times. Just remember, bringing up the heat doesn’t necessarily mean faster cooking. It is more likely to ruin your labor of love, if not handled properly.
9. EYE CANDY:
Make an effort to present your meal in the best way possible. Clean cutlery, a well-set dining area and nicely laid out dishes actually make a huge impact. You can even add some heart shaped carrots to the salad, well.
10. RELAX, EAT :
The food might have turned out great or just plain ordinary (never Bad!), remember that you have worked hard for it. Have a sip of your favorite beverage and bite into the delicacy that you’ve just created. Enjoy!
