It is so easy to be drawn into a web of negativity. Be it at work-where you would often find coworkers engaging in conversations-with you or behind your back, which are offensive and hurtful. Or school-where you will come across bullies who will provoke you and try to seek a negative reaction from you. Even at home, where friends and family can unknowingly turn a situation into an unpleasant one, leaving you confused and vulnerable. It is here that a positive frame of mind can prove to be a game changer. Let me take you through 7 easy tips to cultivate positivism, which will help make life a lot easier for you.
1. DON’T REACT
Easier said than done right. I disagree. Most situations turn from bad to worse in a few seconds, and if you can learn to hold yourself back and refrain from speaking something horrible, you will do yourself and the person/s with you, a huge favor.
2. CHANT A MANTRA
When you are in a difficult situation, chanting a mantra, saying a lil’ prayer will always be an
uplifting experience. I like to recite the Mahamrityunjay mantra several times in my heart and it calms me down like nothing else. Even if you are an atheist, there must be some power that you believe in, even if it is your parents name, chant it slowly in your heart and all will be well.
3. REPLAY A MOMENT OF GLORY IN YOUR MIND
This holds true for those of you facing issues at your workplace or place of study. You might even be getting hate vibes from people around you, but dont let that get to you. Remember the time you won an award, and as you walked upto the stage-your parents waved and showed huge thumbs up signs to you. The day you walked the ramp at the college festival. Or how you cleared a difficult, difficult
test. You are a winner and will always be!
4. UNBURDEN YOUR HEART
We are what we think. And what we think shapes our lives. If your heart is filled with hatred and jealousy and vengeance, then you must be ready to live in that vicious circle that you create for yourself. Learn to let go. If forgiveness doesnt come easy to you, try to forget and move on. Always remember, your life is too precious and your heart too special, to be filled with all this malice.
5. CONFIDE IN YOUR FAMILY
There are times when our thoughts, specially the not so good ones start dominating our mind. In situations like this it is best to talk to your family and get a new perspective on the issue. They will guide you and help you
get over any insecurities or hurdles.
6. DO WHAT FEELS YOU
This is something that “Undercover Boss” has taught me. The importance of pursuing your dreams and doing every little thing that brings a smile to your face and fills your heart with joy. Paint, bake, grill, swim, dance. The world is a big, beautiful place with
endless roads to travel and innumerable adventures to take!
7. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Even if no-one else does! Keep pumping yourself, and remember to have faith in your abilities. You have the power to change your life. So instead of wallowing in self pity, get up and get going. You are better than this!
Create a Chakra of positivity around you and make it so strong that nothing or no-one can traverse it!
I would love to hear from you!
Until next time..
